Bob Dylan's new album

Is fantastic. Here's the first track He sounds like Tom Waits these days and is still a top story teller. The Tempest is a wander through American music: blues, rock and roll, ballads and even a track that could be Motown. It's funny and catchy and bleak and clearly the man and his band have it coming out of every pore....

Like all 70 year olds his voice has gone. Maybe he should continue to write, but delegate the vocals to somebody else. I doubt I'll be adding to my current Dylan collection.

I don't agree Nomad. I think his voice is better than ever :-)

Nomad - I was troubled by Dylan's voice a decade back. Now I just find it to be - Dylan's voice, the voice of the man who wrote the songs and sings them. In fact, I rather like it, as it means I can exercise my appalling singing voice and pretend to be the man himself.

Have you heard that Duquesne whistle blooooowing?

Old Folks Boogie :-)

Oh rats!

Got interrupted as I was typing this up and then posted it on the post above about your new house in error after the modbot called me a robot (three times!).

Sorry, but now you'll have to go up one to continue this conversation.

Apologies all round, but get your dancing shoes on and enjoy it anyway.
