New Labour's education policies

I am so glad I do not have school age children. Surely this is a breach of Section 4?

I thought Calfy's school was bad enough for teaching 13 year olds about the Bulger murder, which left my girl sleepless for a week. I thought they were pretty bad for accusing her of being obsessed with death (she used to read the Craig Brown column next to the obituaries in the Telegraph), but the above takes the biscuit in institutional child abuse.

"institutional child abuse" is a very good description of education under New Labour. Now, of course, Balls is after the home educators, and the concept that the child is the prime responsibility of the parent, and not the state, is under threat.

I make no bones in saying that were they dogs, Brown and Balls would have been put down at birth, or torn to pieces by the pack as unnatural. Now, it seems to me, the option is to round them up and ... dispose of them.

'Pupils were missing the bus home because they were consoling each other and being sick in the toilets.'

Children tried to help the little boy who died of an asthma attack in a school corridor too. When some of them went to get teachers to call an ambulance they were told that the class teacher was 'in a meeting' and stop bothering them.

I'm still not told a lot of what went on in the small HGs' English secondary schools - "You'll make a fuss, Mamma", they say.

There is a generation of Labour jobsworths who think they are beyond reach. As we grow up we do indeed move on, but should the chance come, in passing, to deal a blow, it will be taken by many Labour-abused erstwhile children.

What an incredibly stupid thing to do. Well spotted, Lils.

Did you read about the school that refused to call an ambulance and quietly let a boy die of an asthma attack?

I was going to blog about my trip to my childrens school last week but I haven't the words - they are going to be taught to massage each other every day. I attended the meeting and the moves are innappropriate, time-wasting and normalise the children to being touched in ways they shouldn't. This in addition to sex-ed NuLab style of course.

The thinking of schools is beyong belife. More to the point the LACK of thinking is beyond belief.

Modo, that story is obviously a consequence of Mr Obama's administration and cannot be blamed on Ed Balls.

Your girls know you well HG.

Hmm, massage in schools. I can see that there might be ways in which some techniques might be taught in schools that the kids would find helpful. "Massaging each other every day" and normalising inappropriate touching doesn't sound too clever Pip.

PUPILS across the UK are to have the absolute screaming bejesus scared out of them on a weekly basis, under changes to the national curriculum.

It was the other way around in our day. Kids traumatised teachers ... and firemen.

When they brought their bright red fire engine to our school for us to play with the hoses and bell some kids let down the tyres and one put a brick through the windscreen.

(True - So17 will confirm)

Lils, this is appalling!

and "Modo, that story is obviously a consequence of Mr Obama's administration and cannot be blamed on Ed Balls."...

...everything should be blamed on Ed Balls.

And his awful wife.

It makes it much easier, and the hate can be concentrated on two very arrogant gits who infest the HoC.

Snow has returned... well sleet. To think that I spent eight hours this Sunday gone re-adjusting the timer on my central heating boiler... all for what?
This is not why I drag myself down to the polling booth with the lady wife.

In a well-ordered world, Mr Modo, you'd be able to instruct her how to vote herself, tell her how to cast your vote and let her drag herself down there. No point in both of you being discommoded on a Fool's errand.

Wise words indeed Mr. Ishmael, and once the dear little filly comes of an age to vote don’t think I wont act on them.

... and let me take a moment to pimp my own blog (follow the usual channels... ladies a gentleman may show you). As I have been sadly disappointed by Cathy Galvin at the Sunday Times, and will not stoop to sending my words to anything less… (the Brighton Argus will rue the day they took out that injunction) I am now giving it away for free.

Noblesse oblige

Lil, I have been a fool and left my telephones behind at Idle Towers, so I have not got your contact details. If you read this, please make contact at ao@vodafone.net which I can read online. If, that is, you wish to plan a rendezvous in the next three days.

Are teachers all deranged?

These people will teach pupils anything but what matters. But of course a population of politically correct semi morons would make for a compliant and unquestioning electorate which would suit the New World Order well.
