Videos from investigating journalist Robert Green here
For more on this hideous story see here and here.
This stopped me sleeping. Why would the journalist investigating Hollie's case, arrested for breach of the peace, be incarcerated for 3 days before getting bail? See here. What can we do?

Have given link to Suzanne Moore who hopefully will advise something??
Stinks a bit doesn't it.
I've hawked this out all over the place. Will do blog post on blog with international readership later. x
Thank you Pip. I think I shall write to my MP. Very disturbing.
Just read your comment on OH regarding Anna Raccoons post, and would rather reply to it on your blog. I was beginning to think I was missing something when she keeps banging on about non corroborated evidence, and Hollies case being rightfully dropped.
I keep pointing out that as none of the alleged abusers, and none of the other 7 named victims were ever interviewed by the police, how can anything be corroborated? Well of course there is lack of evidence, when evidence that might exist, has not been obtained. She ignores this for some reason. At least we seem to be singing from the same hymn sheet. I hope we see a proper, transparent, independent police reinvestigation asap. Keep up the good work
THAT is the outrage, isn't it DaveP? That there has been no proper investigation? That none of the other victims were ever interviewed or even approached, that no attempt has been made to corroborate evidence? Even if all the other 7 victims are Down's kids, and their testimony would not stand up in court, at the very least the Police would know who to keep an eye on.
Chances are you would find something on their computers anyway. That had to be worth a shot, surely? Why were the police so quick to seize Robert Green's computer but were not in the slightest motivated to look at anyone else's?
Lilith, yes, the lack of any desire to investigate is the outrage. I think personally that Robert Green is an honourable man, and he makes clear that he is helping as a lay person. He makes no claim to be a lawyer, as some are now saying. He is just trying to get justice.
I am afraid the police and prosecuting authorities are far more corrupt than in England, but they are masters at covering things up. This was told me by several of Scotlands top criminal lawyers.
Yes, all this stuff about self promotion is a red herring. If Robert Green really wanted to be an MP he'd join a party or run on a wider platform. I never imagined he was a legal eagle, but a sympathetic journo, using what skills he has to try and help.
Robert green will know that he has not got a snowballs chance in hell of being elected in Aberdeen. It is just a way of getting the story into the public domain. I suppose he is as much a journalist as you or I, as for most of his working life he was a travel agent, but thats irrelevant.
I think hes doing all he can to get justice, and I admire his courage for some of the things hes done. He deserves success in this.
The authorities pulled the videos in the UK. I can still get them here in Canada, so please try tis link.

No wonder that these arseholes hate the internet
Manglebum and McMental are also well known fans of boys (oneof them has now retired from such habits )
Yes, Dave, that link works. Thank you.
Beast, I LOVE the internet :-)
Click on this link at 6pm. American Alex Jones live interview re Hollie.

this sounds made up
Fat Steve, yeah, right, probably a Mossad plot...
Lils, I think Fat Steve is made up. Would a mother ever be that honest?
I contacted representatives of the BBC, Channel 4 (Krishnan guru-murthy), The Mail group (and someone posted this on Hitchensblog and he asked why he should comment on it?), Nigel Farage and did a general blanket broadcast on Twitter (Vince Cable follows my posts) and joined the 'Justice for Hollie' facebook group.
If anyone wants to tell Hitchens why this is important (not least because a journo got arrested for what exactly?) he will likely comment on it but please excuse me if I just don't want to go there. I know you understand, Lils :-)
Whilst there are lots of questions that need to be answered in this case, the fact they haven't been asked, stinks! And the arrest of Green seems wholly wrong (and stinky) to me. Whatever we might think of this or that journo, investigative journalists are incredibly important and we need them and we need free speech and transparency in justice. For how can corruption be exposed if not by journos and the media? Take the expenses scandal.
This case also demonstrates to me that deference is wrong. That social state longed for by some (not me) means that people with a certain job title or social position are immune from question and effectively above the law and free to behave as they will to those seen as lesser people. Well none of us are lesser people. In law or before God. And we don't need deference to be polite or nice to each other. Deference is neither polite nor very nice.
Excellent Pippy! I somehow doubt Mr Hitchens would take any interest.
Deference is so last year. Today for example I got asked (when sniffing a tester tube of rose scented moisturiser I was purchasing for my mother) whether I was using a tester rather than opening up a new tube of cream. Being slow I failed to ask the suspicious bitch whether she harassed all her customers this way. I also failed to observe that of course she needed to ask me if I was using a tester because most of her customers were too stupid to know the difference. The customer is always stupid.
I don't know how much difference we can make Pip but we can't do nothing, can we.
