Dog walker finds British Economy in woods shock

A dog walker from Somerset today found the British Economy languishing in woods by a river.

Ms Lilith P. Stuff said "I can't say I was surprised. I am still in shock all the same...the dog ran up to it barking madly and I realised then that all hope was lost. I hear the driver, Mr G Ignominious Brown, leapt clear before impact, having looted the gold"

Boycotting Sainsburys..ok I know I'm not meant to be blogging

I took this picture whilst queuing at the adjacent check out.

I have had enough of Sainsbury's. Not only do they discontinue everything we like to buy but also they make me search in vain through the fruit and veg for something not produced by Israel, France, USA or Kenya. I found a few Spanish veg yesterday and the odd British item. They discontinued Black Farmer Sausages
and now it is impossible to buy a decent sausage (one that doesn't sit in a soup of water and fat the moment you start cooking it). Perhaps this is because Wilfred, the Black Farmer is a prospective Conservative Party candidate?

They have stopped doing fresh stock, decent Australian wine, the coffee we liked, and have upped the price of their tinned beans from 33p to 51p a tin. Their meat is inedible. As is their spongy bread. I can buy cleaning products and dog food from Mole Valley Farmers in bulk for a fraction of their rip off prices.

They have expanded the local store at the expense of the parking so it is the norm to have some uninsured idiot with car park rage slam into your motor and drive off without a word, although sometimes with a snarl.

Lord Sainsbury uses his profits to support the Labour party. Sod em. They have nothing I need.

Any suggestions as to what "oberervations" might involve?

Pissing off for a bit..

I am just too angry to blog. If I keep reading the news I will be back on the fags in no time. Instead I shall hoover behind the wallpaper and scrub potatoes vigorously. See you all in the spring, I hope :-)

Thanks for dropping by

News you just couldn't make up...

It has been a surreal day. Interest rates down again (because that helps?),porn barons wanting a bailout and The Pope comparing Gaza to a concentration camp and it looks like Obama is doing a Gordon Brown

Even Peter Hitchens thinks the Police are dodgy. I need a glass of something robust.

Update: I left out apprentice burger flippers...see burning our money.

My beautiful nephew

This scrummy young man is Oli Wennink and one of Britain's 200 Hottest Dates (Tatler Dec 2008) He is a pianist/keyboard player and is an absolute darling. I first met him 25 years ago when he was 2.

Don't worry girls, he has a couple of brothers if you miss out...

I finally stopped...I hope it's not too late.

I have been a regular smoker since I was 15. That 30 years. It is time to stop.

On New Years Eve I said to myself "My skin is shot, my chest hurts, I smell funny and I am knackered. I gotta stop" So I stopped.

Slight nicotine cravings assuaged by gum, no desire to light up another fag. This is my chance and I'm taking it. Tobacco and rizlas in the bin. I hope it's not too late.
