Hurrah!

You have me to thank for England winning the Ashes. Elby booked Sky for the computer so he could watch and every time I left the room we got a wicket. Very, very exciting. It meant I only ever saw replays, but it was worth it.

Yep, with 'Jonah' Brown out of London we've had glorious sunshine and sporting success.

I did wonder, Raedwald, at the beginning of the 5th Test, if Jonah had wished the Cricket team "good luck" but happily couldn't recall any mention of it...I worry about Gaddafi now that he's been wished a happy Ramadan by McBruin: perhaps the Americans will take out another of his sons?

McBust is only vaguely aware that cricket is played at Fettes, Glenalmond and Loretto in Scotland, and even then only between downpours. And he does not like the graduates of those institutions, particularly Fettes. Hoity-toity smoothychops self-confident charmers, the lot of them, strangers to hard work and principled socialist values.

Such is the reason he did not hang the albatross of his good luck wishes around the necks of our cricket XI.

Thank you for helping out the Home Team.

We were unable to see the Match as we were bunkered down, waiting for the storm to pass.
