Chris Galley....can we send him back to the Civil Service now?

The Sunlight Centre for Open Politics is raising money. I bunged them a few quid. This has apparently bought me the entire list of SCOP donors.

Nice Mr Galley sent round an invitation to drinks next week and left the email addresses visible to all. I guess that is just how they are trained in the Civil Service. He didn't reply when I queried this policy.

How very "open". How very off putting.

I donated a fiver, too. Bit upsetting to see that this one moment of weakness might have the mongol fundraising hordes beating a path to the door.

When this happened to me with a different organisation loads of people hit reply all with sarcastic messages for the sender. If you can't get your own back at least you can make this chap's face very red.

Simple ignorance.

Happens all the time. Always makes me spit bullets. I have about 6000 spams in my junk bucket just now, and I really don't need more!

I bet they've had no training or instruction of any sort on email etiquette.

These are the people who want to build a database of all your most intimate information, remember.

Lils, there is an upside...

The Westminster Arms is quite a boozer! We used to use it years ago, when it was called The Irish House, and it was full of subbies having lunch!

Stupid policy though I agree! If you're using Outlook, can you activate the junk feature?

...most of the funds will go on paying for the Data Protection Stazi too!

I think the Beast of Clerkenwell may be barred Scrobs :-) so they obviously have certain standards.

...not if he wears a vest Lils!

Most MPs wear vests, it's because their mother's taught them to...

And that's only the Ladies!

last thing you need is more junk mail. Have fun making Him suffer a little bit.

Kev, you do NOT have spam on your head.

OT, I think he must be too embarrassed to reply to my email.

Lils - as this is a Guido thing have you told him? Not very professional behaviour from Mr Galley which will not reflect well on the project.

OT, he's not God.

I haven't told Guido, Pips but I have told Mr Galley. I won't be rushing to donate again.
