Tom Watson MP

Tom Watson will be stepping down. Why? Has he:

a) "done something wrong"?

b) lost the thrill now McBride has gone?

c) decided to disassociate himself from the fall out with Brown and Balls (pictured below, lest we forget, on a NuLabour Day Acid Test)

d) been buried under a deluge of mail from his constituents and local party demanding his resignation?

e) realised that troughing off the tax payer at £4,800 pa food claims just makes him look like the porker he is and he has had a shame attack?

f) other

Other - something smells in all this. He's loyal to a leader that seems to have no loyalty to others. But now the troughing is curtailed he could be leaving to spend more time with his 'substantial' damages from the Mail?

Fuck me, that's some piccy of McBust.

Is he pulling off his prosthetic face, to reveal his true identity as Gollom?

So many politicians' families going to have more time spent with them.

Rotten to the core - all of them.

They were all allowed to 'pork' themselves (literally and proverbially), and now the - er - piglets have come home to roost.

I don't really want to vote for some 'widget-flanger' wanting home rule for Goons, I want someone who's going to fight my corner against adversity, and this pathetic bunch of failed wasters deserves nothing less than a place in the most inhospitable dole queue in the land which they've created.

There'll never be more scrutiny on 'elections' than those being fixed/held in the future.

One's sympathies lie with his immediate family.

My homesickness is peaking. How wonderfull it would be to spend the summer in England and watch this titanic government continue to slip beneath the waves.

Must be (e) - as in Tom, Watson the menu for lunch?

Stinky, Pip. I'd forgotten about the damages. It is curious.

If you like that pic Idle, you might like this one.

Scrobs, I am as revolted as you sound. The worst bit is that his family will insist he goes off to Brussels now, on to troughs new.

TT he may get home and find all his family are politicians too....

Bill, get a return ticket and resolve this madness! You will be cured.

I am more and more persuaded that it is (e) Granny....

He's going to spend more time ingratiating himself with Tony Blair's Sedgeway constituency (erstwhile) He won't get far by the looks of things.

I expect he will have to stop on the way for a bite to eat, Kev.
