The status quo

Camomile teabags as used by Peter Mandelson.

I am not blogging much for a number of reasons...however, everybody else is being very interesting and articulate and incisive and spot on. I have particularly enjoyed Philip Pullman's piece on Liberty as blogged by Idle, Raedwald and Hatfield Girl and I plan to print it out and leave it in waiting rooms and on trains. Stanislav is blogging (Hurrah!) and Dennis is on a roll. Bella Gerens is great, as is the Daily Mash.

I miss Electro-Kev, the train driving muse....

I am biting my fingernails up to my elbows when I am not as relaxed as you see me pictured above, because Calfy's trial is soon. She is well represented, but she is pink and little and it is scary for her Mummy. Calfy is enjoying her job as a governess.

I went to a party last night as Miss Havisham. Elby was Harry Powell.

Great pictures ! You both look fantastic.

Good luck with Calfy.

I'm disgusted that you've used Peter Mandelson's tea bags. He has reptilian eyes so why you want to follow that example ...

I'll be back, Lilith. I just find myself sitting at the keyboard unable to start for some reason.

Hi Kev! Thank you.

A weird synchronicity involving placing chamomile tea bags on my eyes (not something I have done in years), Elby turning up with a camera and Mandy's Diary chez Dennis occurred this morning....spooky.

I am glad you will be back. I know the feeling. There is so much to read too. xxx

Dear Lilith, glad to see you posting again, and thanks for the plug!

Spooky indeed about the T-bags ...

Photo 1: While you were blinded by the old Lapsang Souchong, that strangely-bred hound of yours jemmied the lock of his cage and escaped.

Photo 2: Haversham Shmaversham! That's a yiddish ringlet hanging there below the rest.

Photo 3: The last time I saw a fellow dressed like that he was carrying a bible and a coil of rope with a noose.

Love the pictures Lilith, especially the wig. I know how you feel re: the court case. I had to attend court with my boy for a motoring offense a couple of years ago. He looked very lost and little in the witness box (he would kill me for saying so). He got a fine and points, I swear I was more worried than he was. Hope it all goes well. Who would ever have guessed what this country would come to?

Lils - just take every minute as it comes. Bless Calfy; she's marvellous.

We're all in this together - except sponging politicians and bankers who claim pennies for their every disaster.

I'll keep blogging if you will - but it ain't easy...

You are very welcome, Dennis. A friend of Bunty is a friend of mine.

Idle, The Rev Harry Powell is seriously dodgy and likes to murder women and children...

Fuchsia, thanks. I feel a little better about it all after what happened to Damien Green, and the roller skating pensioner...I know it's not personal, just that they are coming for us all eventually...I once gave a character ref at the Old Bailey....sheesh that was scary.

You are so right Scrobs. *BIG HUG*

Elby appears to have leaked some dry rot onto the wall by the skirting board

I'd get that looked at sharpish

Hope you liked Bizkit the dog

lilith said...

Thanks OH, yes I did like Bizkit! I should leave more comments as I visit you every day. Love Stan's ad for you on his site :-)

Both of my clever little boys got into grammar.

Oh. And something appears to be afoot on my blog.

Since I appear to be unable to post anything now on EK's. Old Rightie's or Blue Eyes' blogs, I have given up wasting my time even bothering to look at them any more.

WHY do these new formats not accept my comments no matter whether I use the Anon or name form in the box? I have no problems with Lilith's, so what is it with these new ones? I also wonder how many others are having this problem.

PS: Lil, nice pics, especially the one of that shifty looking Quick Draw McGraw bloke...

I don't know why that should be Nomad. Are others complaining of the same?

Shifty's right, WELL dodgy.

Lil - I don't know what is happening either. I fill in a comment, select anon box, click submit (ie same as everywhere else) and either the wv jumble does not appear or the comments just vapourise in the ether. All very frustrating - and something that does/did not happen with the previous formats of the blogs in question. All very odd.

PS: I re your heading, I also liked Status Quo in their day!
