He did no such thing, calfy. He was talking about Britain and its Commonwealth, not his own government. And note the 'if'.
'Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that, if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will say, "This was their finest hour"'
Ed Balls is probably the most repellent politician of our time.
He is one of the New Squirmers, sweating around the front bench to make sure that when Badger resigns to spend more time with his pension, he'll be asked to carry on the disgraceful ineptitude he displayed as Failure Brown's big adviser.
Scrobs, one of the New Squirmers..gruesome. Gives me the ubercreeps.
Rog T. Hmmm
It is written of Goebbels that
"This was the source of his hatred of the intellect, which was a form of self-hatred, his longing to degrade himself, to submerge himself in the ranks of the masses, which ran curiously parallel with his ambition and his tormenting need to distinguish himself. He was incessantly tortured by the fear of being regarded as a ‘bourgeois intellectual’… It always seemed as if he were offering blind devotion (to Nu Labour) to make up for his lack of all those characteristics of the racial elite which nature had denied him" (I swapped Nu Labour for Nazism)
