I cleared some of my junk from my Dad's flat that he had hauled from the roof of his house before selling it last year...I found lots of (mostly) embarrassing singles and some mildewed clothes. Amongst the singles was this. It made me think of Old Holborn, partly because he was an '80s group keyboardist and partly because it seemed so apt.

Just been listening to Streisand singing Evergreen on Youtube (end of the 1976 film and yes I cried) I remembered Caravan last night (well I would wouldn't I?) in the land of grey and pink where only boy scouts stop t think, they'll be coming back again those nasty grumbly grimlies and they're climbing down your chimney yes they're dying to get in.. And that sparked memories of Black SAbbath albums, Floyd and CSN&Y, Hendrix, Bolan, Led Zep and of course no record collection was complete without 'A Farewell to Kings' by Rush. I don't think I stopped singing 'At 17' by Janis Ian and of course there was Carly Simon, Don McLean, etc. I discovered that fantastic Peter - tchaikovsky then though the 70's were just that time for me.
The 80's didn't make the same impact. I like the shoulder pads though. I've always liked big shoulders.
