I enjoyed the Spice Girls Concert

It was fun. They put on a good show, sounded good (within the obvious limits of their skill to do so) and were probably a lot better than they ever were. Posh got cheered lots. The audience was perhaps the ugliest I had seen since I last went to a Richard Thompson concert. By the end I was deaf and halucinated a slimmed down Cherie Blair and daughter as we left. Gorgon Spice. There will be pics if I can get blogger to upload them.

Lilith they are harlots. There god is blasphemy, greed and depravity. There are so many good Gospel Rock bands that you could have gone to. Beware you walk a narrow path.

Lilith,

You're a lucky Gal, and deserve the warmth.

Daught will also be a happy Gal and so should you be!

Don't let Hitch's religion get to you, you must have said a few prayers already!

I am very lucky Scroblene, we had a laugh. And special moments.

Don't worry about Hitch, it's Modo...

Thank you Daisy and Pip. My Girl was so overwhelmed that she was in tears during their second number. Most uncharacteristic, but it must have flashed her back to 7 or so..

"modo" is a very silly boy
he posts real photos of both himself and his wife online then clones me.
OOPS!

Tears at a spice girls gig? FFS

Gospel rock, hitch, is like kissing your sister.

But your point about administering the lethal injection to musicians when they reach 30 is really quite good. I was thinking just the other day whilst walking the idle dog and listening to bowie that 10 years productivity is the limit for almost all of them.

Jagger would depart just after Exile on Main St, which seems about right, and... hell - I'm going to do a post on this! Two dull evenings in Switzerland this week just got more interesting.

Hitch,
It was intended as an affectionate tribute.

My three Girls phoned from London one evening and sang The Spice Girls song from many years ago, "Mamma I Love You". This reduced me to mush, as the youngest had just left home to join her two elder sisters for studies and work etc. I was suffering from "Empty Nest Syndrome" ! So, I guess, despite all the "Chaps" derogatory comments about The Spice Girls, I think they were pretty good in their hey day.
Point of interest Lilith: Did they perform live ?

Hitch, I am sure you can give good as you get.

Modo, it was a pretty clever satire. If I were Hitch I would be moved and inspired. :-)

Mick was still hot until relatively recently Idle, so I can't agree with that one. Tho it would work for Eric Clapton and Phil Collins...But I still value Neil Young...

Trubes, that is so sweet!!
Yes, they did perform live. Not the shambles they used to be, evidently. Although it wasn't great art

Well said about Neil Young, lil. He is one of those grizzled old melody makers who matures like port and is as capable of excellence at 60 as he was at 25. A rare vintage indeed.

I got pissed in Geneve tonight and my plans to post on 10-year muse productivity will have to wait a day or so.

Let's not mention Collins again, shall we?

Neil Young; marvellous stuff L!

'Deja Vu' was the first album I ever heard by them, and it is still a favourite!

BTW, were you ever keen on 'The Band'? Same earthy stuff around then.

Dear Ms. Gorgeous,
Have you too given up the ghost?

Posh Spice got cheered lots ?

Why ???

For being the wife of Rebecca Loos' boyfriend ?

Posh has no sexual allure for me whatsoever. She'd make a great draught excluder though ... and you could buy her paper dresses as she'd have to run around to get wet when it's raining.

Not given up the ghost, M, just passed another kidney stone! EEEEEEKOWWWWWWWWWW. But I live to tell the tale.

It was wierd Kev, she got the biggest cheers. And she didn't look much thinner than the others which just shows that they all survive on a 3hour work out followed by a lettuce leaf.

Scrobs, Idle, Mr Young is the dude. Love how he mauls his geetar. Somehow missed the Band Scrobs, although I have a couple of tracks done by Levon Helm and my sister's beau.
