Now this makes me mad.

This fine hottie/cricketing hero is behind bars. No he has not been arrested for breaking girls' hearts or being too good at cricket. He is facing life imprisonment for inciting hatred and uprising under Anti Terrorism laws. Can you believe it? Sanctioned by David Milibland no doubt. Think it couldn't happen here?

There is nothing on the Beeb about this. And it is on page 43 (!!!!!) of the Times today. What?!

Not life imprisonment, L. People are very brave, aren't they. Benazir Bhutto is stepping up to the plate too.

Our Leader was last seen picking his nose and fingering his way through passengers' lives at a railway- station -near -you.

The article I read suggested life imprisonment, but it was an Australian Newspaper, I forget which. Very brave, HG. I read that he was turned into the police by "Islamists". Ms Bhutto is also very brave, as are their supporters.

It is unbelievable that this is page 43 news.

Imran was my first sporting crush. He got my teenage heart racing.

Not Adriane Street or Mick MacManus?
Imran Khan was on page one of the Independent, I suggest you get your chips wrapped in a better newspaper Lilith.

The Beeb is as reliable as the testimony of Bary George. I have to say though that your eye candy has fallen into the trap of "I wuz good at the crease wearing a cricket box, I will be even better wearing a suit at the despatch box". Nevertheless, no logic can be expected of a religion-driven country.

I'm so appalled I have no words. This is just ridiculous, where is he Pakistan? Must check this out. And we let Abu Hanza (sp?) just preach hatred of the people of this country in the street and we do litttle more than suggest law abiding people carry ID cards. No wonder they think we're pathetic.

Sorry to say, but the glamour bit extended through the Goldsmith family, in and out of politics, and now in a maelstrom of seriod danger.

This does no good for anyone, but wtach out for the individuals who are all jostling, and bugger me, isn't jostling going to become a new Olympic sport soon.

Forget Miliband; he is a lightweight under the cosh - as are all of the cabinet with the awful Brown man at 'the helm'.

This will be another Brown hideaway episode; he's just happy staring at cameras and pretending he's in control; but does he do any work at it?

I think not.

Every now and then I buy the Indy Lucien. I didn't see it today.

Mick was NOT Hot.

TT, I know it's crazy out there, but Our Leader is in bed with Their Leader and is letting all this drift by. I am revolted.

Imran is a warrior, it's in his genes ;-)

It is bad, Pip.

Yes, he glamorous and ruling elite and all that isn't he Scrobs. Can't say he's in with much chance now that the Taliban control the North...

Milibland is a pathetic sap, screwing the taxpayer for his mortgage with delusions of competence. The whole Cabinet look like a bunch of Blue Peter presenters and Estate Agents and sound like them too.

Nu Lab have been rotten from the start. They were just good at spin.

Now that Blair has gone there is no longer any effective spin. Government isn't any less shit than it was - it's just more in the open now.

Imran made early pages in the Mail today.

Oh - and Huge Grunt is an unrefined and vulgar little boy compared to Khan.

Lilith: Your penultimate sentence notwithstanding, even if not given much prominence in the UK, this story was fully, regularly and fairly comprehensively covered in the SE Asia Beeb World TV news (and CNN and Aljazeera) progs. Seems like he went to the univerity - the Beeb's reporter and camera crew were on the spot - to make a speech and got hijacked by the local islamofascist student element who detained him and called the cops. Silly sod should have stayed in hiding and kept issuing his rallying-the-supporters videos.

Time you learned to expect nothing better from the brown broadcasting corp!

One of many visits to Lahore in the late 80s resulted in a client picking me up from the airport, allowing me only to drop my bags at the hotel before driving into the old part of the city, under armed guard in a sparkly Range Rover, befor esettling down to ALCOHOLIC cocktails and dinner in a fab old house, all courtyards and oil lamps.

Then Imran arrived. My evening was complete; politics and test cricket, until a visit to watch the dancing girls at the Diamond Market at midnight. Bliss.

Never have I lied so much about my cricketing prowess. Charming man, but a closed mind, as I remember.

An extremely impressive tale there, Idle.

Lilith: Imran still sets my heart a racing, very dishy. Did you see Jemima Puddleduck with old Mother Goldsmith ,protesting outside Downing Stree this week? No doubt Old Cyclops was hiding in his bunker biting his nails! Vile man, yuk, he gives me the creeps.

EK:04.13. "Huge" Grant was not so , according to Miss Divine, the hooker!

Can't help but think this is being played down, over here. You can easily find the story in antipodean papers.

Hugh is not in the same league. There are Alpha males, and there are Epsilon -C Semi Morons.

Welcome Sea Ex Pat.

I don't know why it surprises me. Nu Lab couldn't get away with it if the media didn't say "How High" when the government says "Jump!"

Idle, WHAT A DELICIOUS STORY! I hope it's not a fantasy like your cricketing prowess.

Trubes, he is definately Top Notch Totty.

True, lil. I could have gone further - the room in which I drank my whisky was the very room in which Mohd Ali Jinnah signed the declaration of independence from India, I was told. He was crook by then, and died months later. Pity; less people would have died in the next few years and Pakistan would be less FUBAR.

Good Grief! I wish I'd been there :) If only as a dancing girl..

our ally in the "war on terror"
heheheh
The ally that sold nucler technology and materials, the ally that helped facilitate 911, and continues to manufacture lots of ready made little guerillas.
They are our "ally" as 911 was an inside job , useful idiots controlled by pakistan intelligence and funded by the CIA.
