"Midwife led?" Calm down dear its only a New Labour pronouncement...I had my baby 16 years ago and was offered a home birth only to be told at the necessary moment that "no midwife was available" and I had to go in. There's far less midwives now.
I had her on Guys Casualty floor.

What's a midwife? My mother gave birth to me while standing in a butchers queue waiting to cash in her meat coupons. She was back home with me in 40 minutes and had the dinner ready for my old dad when he returned home from work that night. It was a sausage in case you are interested.
I dont know ratty. There was this tired woman who turned up and sat on the floor looking bored when I had my baby. She might have been one. Weird thing was 18 girls and 1 boy were born that night in the hospital...
Your Mum sounds like she wouldn't get along with Alice Miles either ;-).
No you had her on a trolley, but you are off it now.
